Three-time Winners: Lorger, Foster, Kovač, Robles

Four athletes won the Zagreb 110m Hurdles Memorial Race three times.

Slovenia’s Stanko Lorger was the best in 1960 (14.7), 1961 (14.5) and 1962??? (14.8). USA’s Charles Foster also won three times in a row: in 1978 (14.0), 1979 (13.95) and 1980 (13.82). Slovakia’s Igor Kovač won the Memorial Race in 1993 (13.56), 1994 (13.52) and 1995 (13.66). Olympic and World Champion and world record holder Dayron Robles of Cuba rejoiced in Zagreb in 2007 (13.35), 2008 (13.20) and 2011 (13.00).

It must be mentioned that Aleksandar Vucelić of the Mladost Sports Club won the 110m hurdles race even four times in a row: in 1955 (15.3), 1956 (15.1), 1957 (14.6) and 1958 (15.1). However, the first three wins date back to the time when the Meeting was a duel between Mladost and Dinamo Sports Clubs, and not an international competition.
